I DO NOT TAKE WARNINGS FROM LITTLE OLD LADIES THAT LIVE IN TRAILER PARKS LIGHTLY......

OR WARNINGS FROM RUI,
EITHER!

The warning that Rui emailed us about choosing colors comes to us a wee bit late as we have been slapping color on the walls for a couple days now & the chair rail is up!
(Yes, Bob, a chair rail, it is a restaurant dining-room and this is necessary).
I need to do close-ups of the trim moulding as it was the rough-hewn lumber that origally clad the walls when Mark bought the place, I do believe it is black locust wood, an acacia. It is at least one hundred and fifty years old & very hard!

&
Y'all know me and my love for old hard wood....

So, what do you think?
Mind you, I still have several tricks up my knickers....
This is merely the back-drop...

AND...
I know that is naughty of me but I just wanted to give you all a taste of the crafting of my wall sconces......

Would Any Like to Hazard a Guess?

Thanks, Rui for the fire!

  4. I'm liking the chair rail.
    I know!
But....I have a chair rail in my dining room. I also HAD chair rail in the kitchen, the living room, and the hallways. Not necessary, and it was summarily dismissed and ripped down.

  6. That better be a Raku kiln, to punch some zest into the ambiance. Or else you shall be called Wallra Ashley from now on.
