We painted yesterday and had to stop because of nightfall. Couldn't paint today as it was A Rainy Night in Georgia...
We'll be back up on the ladder again tomorrow to finish the pinnacle, windows and fascia....
BEWARE:
OLD POOFTER
ON
LADDER
(Sequoia grove, Creme Brulee & White)
We saved the original old weathered clap-board to trim out the upstairs.
Is it not just lovely?
Perhaps we'll pickle it, haven't quite decided...
PS: Just can't wait to do the post about the wall sconces I'm making!
Be careful on the ladder, that's way up there!
ReplyDeletewhoa.
ReplyDeleteThis is what happens when the HOMERSEXUALS move into town...
ReplyDeleteXOXOXOXOXOXOXO
lx, I'd let one of the young'ns do it or one of my talented guy peers....
ReplyDeleteBUT,
Somethings are best left to old poofters!
norma, It really is a fabulous (in the literal sense of the word), place..
Why just today our sandwich special was a Fried Green Tomato BLT!
...To die for.
Mame, They's lots of Homers in this town.....
ReplyDeleteWhy look, they's one comin' down the steps now...
...And he ain't even the pretty one!
xoxox
I painted my parents' garage last summer, and being atop a ladder was much scarier than it used to be. Apparently one's sense of balance can diminish with age. And fatness.
ReplyDeleteAnd do the locals yet know about the glory hole in the joint?
ReplyDeleteI'll check the Blairsville gloryhole directory, Mistress Maddie.
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing wrong with an old poofta "on" a ladder.
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand....
An old poofta in laddered stockings.... Well that's a whole other story....
Let the gentrification begin!
ReplyDeleteI love the word "nightfall".
