I used to sing it on "Bus B" with a few of the really talented girls, back in the early seventies. Then it just stopped getting played, as the years went on I would think about it & sing it, some would remember it, but none knew the artists!
About seven years ago I got serious about finding out and getting a copy. Every six months or so I would start searching and asking; no luck.
A burnt out old hill-hippie employee (not to be confused with a hillbilly employee), found it for me, but not the original. That very night I did a search again and found this, hence the title of the post.
Right now I'm slapping myself for not simply going to the Chateau and asking the head-librarian.....
Another song I loved from around the same time was "Tighter and Tighter" by Alive and Kicking. I don't know why but it just popped into my head. Thanks for reminding me.
I only hope the people responsible for this have been punished.

Why is the big furry green bear fisting that poor little carrot top doll?
