FREEWAY TO HELL.....
I appreciated every moment of my early journeys into said cities at night, and had fun that is indescribable...
However, at the time, we confused the extreme grooviness of the music/art movement there with adulthood...
That is to say, we just thought that this is what it is like to be an adult, (I was 15 when I went to my first night club, (a disco is not a night club in Ohio)), and did not realize that the avant-garde was not everywhere and would be moving along, shortly...
The people that we met in those days were amazing people, many of which you all know of...
But you need to understand that the people that you don't know of, were just as amazing, IF NOT MORE SO...
One of the divine ironies is that we, us, almost everyone, went by alias... We think no face-booking for us.
(last week we got one hit on a google stat searching for aliases from a previous post)
I was Will Knott, perhaps you know my sisters, Shirlee Knott and May Bea Knott?
But, Oh man, the shows we saw in small venues, the after parties, and it all sounds so pompous except for the fact it is all true.....

Republicans are Just Evil....
And the people that vote for them are really stupid or ignorant or rich or any combination thereof...
There.
We've said it...
Maybe now our sense of humor will return.
Let me back this up with a little story.
We have a friend, Janos, a Hungarian-American, that through well-deserved vanity admits to the age of seventy-six.
HE ESCAPED! : The Holocaust, Hungary, Princeton, being a Wall Street Analyst and Marriage, (until he was well into his seventies, anyway). But he can't escape his Hungarian friends, many of which are NYC republicans.
Janos is very intelligent... If he doesn't have an answer he will find a solution. Trust us, as it is not uncommon for him to come to us for information about Human Condition, Americana and Politics, (amongst other things).
Back to The Point....
It seems that, recently, at some ball, a very wealthy friend of his and he met up and had a little talk. His friend was very disturbed that people, (in NYC), called him "Stupid" to his face after realizing that he was a republican. Sad, huh? (We Love NYC, to your face.)!
Well, this puzzled Janos, to no end, as he didn't have a comeback for such a statement. For a week or two, until we arrived, he languished. He came up to us in the kitchen and asked about his friend's concern:
